ALS Walk Strong 2019 @ Chocolate River Station

ALS Walk Strong is the ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia’s biggest annual fundraiser with 10 walk locations across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Funds raised go towards supporting people living with ALS and their families. This support comes in many ways such as our Equipment Loan Program. We loan out expensive medical equipment to people with ALS. This means the financial burden of purchasing equipment is lifted from families and they can focus their time and energy on spending precious time with loved ones and making memories. On average, people borrow approximately $70,000 worth of equipment from the ALS Society.

Please visit www.alswalkstrong.ca to register or donate. As a non-profit organization who does not receive government funding, we rely solely on the generosity of our donors to be able to continue to provide much needed support to people living with ALS and their families

Venez découvrir les beautés des îles Lamèque et Miscou le 7 juillet prochain. Nous vous proposons 3 parcours avec un des paysages incroyables, soit un de 90 km, 50 km et 30 km. Les frais d’inscription sont de 30,00 $ (adultes) et 20,00 $ (10-18 ans).

L’inscription comprend un dîner spaghetti, une photo souvenir et le comité organisateur va remettre 5,00 $ pour chaque participant au groupe du tour de l’espoir.

Finalement, nous aurons plusieurs prix de présence à faire tirer lors du dîner.

Défi 5 km de Lamèque @ Resto-bar La Roue du Capitaine

Le défi 5 km de Lamèque en est déjà rendu à sa 5e édition cette année. Nous vous invitons à participer en grand nombre à cette activité qui aura lieu le samedi 3 août 2019. L’évènement fait partie des Super Séries!

Comme à l’habitude, nous aurons également un parcours de 1 km pour les enfants de 3 à 12 ans.

L’inscription comprend un t-shirt pour les 100 premières personnes inscrites en ligne avant le 28 mai 2019 (5 km et 1 km). De plus, un dîner spaghetti sera offert gratuitement à tous les participants.

Every Tuesday afternoon, approximately ten older adults meet in The Gathering Place at the Library for an afternoon of board and card games. The staff prepares refreshments for this social time. It has been operating for several years and recently some of the group started meeting another afternoon to learn a new game.

Lise Ouellette is the instructor for the 45-minute session for older adults and anyone with mobility challenges. It is a free program offered in the Library’s adult multi-purpose room.
